marblemedia is a leading global entertainment company that develops, produces and distributes compelling TV, interactive and digital content for audiences of all ages, across media platforms.
With divisions specializing in primetime scripted and unscripted programming complementing its roster of successful kids and family properties, international distribution company Distribution360 and an interactive studio, marblemedia is an expert in delivering premium content that meets the needs of an ever-changing media landscape.
Founded in 2001 by co-CEOs Mark Bishop and Matt Hornburg with a vision of creativity, partnership and innovation, the company has offices in Toronto and London, plus a 50-acre production facility located 90 minutes north of Toronto.
Launched in 2016, marblemedia’s new Scripted division is actively working on a full development slate of primetime and kids/family scripted programming for Canada, the US, UK and global markets. Focusing on noisy, character-driven narratives that innovate in a unique way, current projects include serialized dramas, episodic dramas, digital comedies, and single cam kids/family comedies.
Working with best-in-class writers, creators, authors and partners including Karen Walton, Cirque du Soleil, Jennica Harper, Alison Binegman, Matt Houghton, Stephanie Kaliner, Richard Elliott, Emer Connon, Shelley Scarrow, James Hurst, Simon Racioppa, Howard Busgang, and Frank van Keekan.
A well-known leader in kids and family programming from its beginning, marblemedia knows what a kids world looks like and how to bring that world to life on screen in exciting ways that resonate with audiences.
One of the best in the business at delivering live action, unscripted and competition original formats for young audiences, marblemedia’s creativity and expertise have also led them to the production of award-winning kids scripted content, and made them a go-to partner for broadcasters and partners seeking hit programming for preschool, kid, teen and family audiences. >
Fuelled by company growth, its strength in production of game and competition programming, and an increasing slate of primetime unscripted development projects, marblemedia launched a new unscripted division in late 2015 to focus on a diverse mix of reality, lifestyle, specialist factual, game shows and original formats.
Currently marblemedia has over 15 projects in active development, working with broadcasters and international format owners at network and cable levels in Canada, the US and abroad. Key creative and talent partners on upcoming programming include recent announcements with Cirque du Soleil, celebrity chef Chuck Hughes and actress Anne-Marie Withenshaw.
The team is actively seeking big, bold ideas, talent and partnerships that present fresh twists, great stories and compelling characters. >
