Matt Hornburg is Co-CEO/ Partner and Executive Producer at marblemedia. In addition to strategic direction across the company, Matt leads creative development and production for the company’s original TV and Interactive divisions, including its most recent push into primetime with the launch of new scripted and unscripted divisions.
Together with business partner Mark Bishop, Matt has built marblemedia into one of Canada’s leading independent production, distribution and digital media companies by thinking differently and tapping into opportunities afforded by the company’s strong reputation and relationships with talent and partners around the world.
A new dad and a fan of all things Star Wars, Matt’s love of creative storytelling, big worlds and strong characters started young and has inspired the company’s robust and diverse slate, putting the company on the map as a key industry player skilled at bringing great ideas to screen in original ways, and continuing to expand in new areas.

Mark Bishop is Co-CEO and Partner at marblemedia. An accomplished entrepreneur, brand-builder and trusted media industry advocate, Mark, alongside co-founder Matt Hornburg, has grown marblemedia into one of Canada’s leading independent production, distribution and digital media companies.
In addition to serving as executive producer across marblemedia’s successful portfolio of television and interactive digital media properties, day-to-day, Mark leads the strategic growth and management of all divisional and corporate undertakings including, global distribution and sales (Distribution360), finance, marketing, digital media and new business ventures.
Recognized as an industry leader for breaking new ground in mobile and interactive entertainment, Mark is a forward-thinker and champion of content and technologies that are noisy, unexpected and innovative. He serves as the Vice-Chair of the CMPA Board of Directors (Canadian Media Producers Association), Co-Chair of the IDM Digital Working Group for Ontario’s Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport,) and past-chair and Executive Board member of Interactive Ontario. A proud Ryerson University RTA Wall of Famer and Alumni Achievement Award recipient, Mark lends his time to various universities and colleges as a guest lecturer and curriculum advisor. Mark is also a member of CEO peer advisory group The Insight Council and is a Campaign Cabinet member for OCAD University.

Originally from Saint John, New Brunswick, Mark is based in Toronto and is a self-professed media junkie and lifelong fan of heroes including Walt Disney and Jim Henson. Mark is a new dad and a big believer in the power of imagination.
As marblemedia’s Director, Legal and Business Affairs, Krista is responsible for the management of the company’s business affairs department, encompassing television, interactive and distribution activities and working with internal and external partners, funding agencies and broadcasters.
A business affairs vet in the Canadian industry with expertise in all areas of production, distribution and broadcast, Krista most recently spent 10 years managing the business affairs department of Discovery Channel Canada, and had worked previously at Atlantis Films, then Alliance Atlantis. Baker began her career in television as an assistant director, working with such notable legends as Mickey Rooney, Shelley Winters and Jason Robards, and has been in love with the television production business ever since.
As Vice President Creative, Digital, Johnny Kalangis leads the creative development of marblemedia’s interactive digital media projects. With his unique vision Johnny takes the company to new levels of innovation and creative ingenuity.
Kalangis has held executive positions in the Radio, Television and Interactive departments at CBC Arts & Entertainment, where he worked on properties such as Opening Night, Being Erica and The Rick Mercer Report.
An award-winning feature filmmaker, Kalangis’ second movie Love is Work was presented by Oscar-winner Paul Haggis at its U.S. premiere in Los Angeles.
As Vice President, Finance Ann Marie Donnelly is responsible for leading the financial and business affairs teams for marblemedia and Distribution360, in addition to empowering the growth of the various divisions of the company across development, production and international distribution. Ann Marie works closely with the company’s Founders on forecasting, managing and budgeting all projects.
With over a decade of experience in accounting and finance in the television industry, Ann Marie has held positions at Secret Location and DHX Media, along with positions at ADP and George Weston Ltd.
Carrie Paupst Shaughnessy champions marblemedia’s scripted slate. Working with showrunners, writers, agents and producing partners, Carrie will source, develop and oversee the scripted projects for marblemedia while building on the company’s relationship with broadcasters and producing partners.
Carrie is an experienced Creative Executive, having led the scripted divisions of several companies. Most recently, she worked as a Production Executive at Bell Media overseeing top shows “Saving Hope” and “Bitten” and CTV’s upcoming drama “Cardinal”.
Previously, Carrie spent over seven years on the feature film team at Telefilm Canada, where she oversaw dozens of produced films and supported the careers of many filmmakers. She has also worked on the Experimental Team for the Canada Media Fund, where she selected highly innovative digital projects for funding.
Earlier, Carrie founded and ran an independent development company, The Development House, that had a roster of independent story consultants and development executives who worked on scripted and unscripted projects across the country.
Diane Rankin leads Distribution360, overseeing all sales and acquisitions activity, working with the company’s growing list of third party production partners, as well as the marblemedia internal production team to bring great content to buyers around the World. Diane splits her time between London and Toronto to manage the D360 team and business. Since joining the company, the business has seen consecutive years of double-digit growth under her leadership.
Diane brings over 20 years in the media industry in sales, acquisitions and content development to her role. Prior to D360, she was SVP, Acquisitions at DRG and was Head of Acquisitions at Cineflix Rights; she also spent over 13 years at Brunico Communications launching and steering many of their market-leading events including Realscreen Summit and Kidscreen Summit and overseeing leading print titles such as Realscreen, Kidscreen, Playback, Strategy and Boards.
