TORONTO/LOS ANGELES (September 30, 2020)

marblemedia is pleased to announce the appointment of AJ Trauth who has come onboard into a newly created role as Vice President of Kids to support the growth of the company’s scripted division. Based in Los Angeles, AJ brings over two decades of experience in the entertainment industry as both on-screen talent and an off-screen creative. Best known to many as ‘Alan Twitty’ on the hit Disney series Even Stevens and the CW’s Pepper Dennis, AJ parlayed his career into an independent producer developing and growing a slate of scripted series in the kids and family space with focus on telling diverse stories that resonate with young audiences, including The Fourth Stall with Walden Media.

In his new role, Trauth will help identify and develop kids scripted projects for marblemedia that have dynamic characters, are rich in story and bold in execution. Building on the company’s strong history of creating compelling content for kids and family audiences worldwide, as the VP, Kids, Trauth will continue to push boundaries by developing original stories with unique perspectives for global audiences and identify opportunities through assembling great IP with top showrunners, writers and on-screen talent. Trauth will report directly to co-CEO Mark Bishop.

“As our company and production slate continues to grow, it’s important to bring on seasoned executives like AJ Trauth who hold years of experience discovering the next generation of storytellers with first-hand experience as a child Disney actor himself. He possesses a vision of what the future may bring”, said Mark Bishop, co-CEO marblemedia. “Having AJ in LA reaffirms our scripted growth strategy in working directly with streamers and US Buyers and developing content to produce from marble's Toronto based production hub.”

Earlier this year, marblemedia announced its commitment to bolstering the scripted department. In addition to Trauth’s new appointment, Carrie Paupst Shaughnessy’s role as Vice President Scripted is expanding.
