marblemedia expands scripted division

TORONTO, CANADA (June 8, 2016) – International award-winning producer marblemedia today announced the appointment of Carrie Paupst Shaughnessy in a newly created role as Vice President of Scripted effective immediately.

Carrie will be working closely with the marblemedia team and specifically Co-CEO and Executive Producer Matt Hornburg. Carrie will be responsible for nurturing the company’s Scripted development slate in Primetime, Live-Action Youth and Digital — working with showrunners, writers, agents and producing partners.

Carrie comes to marblemedia from her recent role at Bell Media where she was Production Executive on the Drama team. Carrie oversaw CTV’s most watched Canadian drama Saving Hope, CTV’s first serialized drama Cardinal as well as the hit original thriller Bitten for Space.

Prior to Bell Media, Carrie spent over seven years on the feature film team at Telefilm Canada, where she oversaw dozens of films and supported the careers of many filmmakers. She has also worked on the Experimental Team for the Canada Media Fund, where she selected highly innovative digital projects for funding.

In this role, Carrie will continue to source, develop and oversee the Scripted projects for marblemedia while building on the company’s longstanding relationships with broadcasters and co-producing partners and creators. Carrie will be overseeing the current marblemedia Scripted slate including the previously announced Alchemy (Showcase), Dark Horse (Seven24 Films, Corus Entertainment) and Held.
