Seven24 and marblemedia developing Dark Horse teen drama

Indie producers marblemedia and Seven24 Films are pacting to co-develop the teen coming-of-age drama Dark Horse as a multiplatform property for YTV.

The prodcos are developing the property as a 13 x 60-min series, which would include online and mobile extensions.

Shelley Scarrow and James Hurst will showrun the indie drama about Lyla, a rancher’s daughter whose destiny becomes intertwined with Micah, a mysterious outsider who can morph into a wild horse.

The Dark Horse project is being spearheaded by Seven24 director of development Jessalyn Coombe, marblemedia head of development Miklos Perlus and creative director Johnny Kalangis.

Distribution360 will handle international sales and distribution on Dark Horse.
