Disney XD Takes Splatalot U.K. for Select Regions
NEW YORK: The British version of the medieval-themed game show Splatalot is headed to Disney XD channels in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Distribution360 licensed the marblemedia format to the channel. The U.K. version ofSplatalot, hosted by comic duo Dick and Dom, is set to air this spring in more than 100 countries in Eastern and Central Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The medieval-themed game show, which targets 8- to 12-year-olds, features 12 teen contestants competing in three rounds. “Splatalot launched last year in Canada, the U.K. and Australia to an overwhelming response from the tween audience,” said Matt Hornburg, the managing partner at Distribution360. “Everyone loves the show’s physical humor and great characters, and this is what Splatalot is all about. We’re thrilled to be partnering with Disney XD to continue sharing this hilarious series with new audiences internationally.”
